Alan Stein Jnr - Raise Your Game

Alan was the first to jump into the Real MVMT Coaches Summit. The title says it all. As a coach we MUST Raise OUR Game. That gave me a lot of confidence to reach out to others. To Raise My Game!

We have to get better, to give better.

Be more to give more.

The book Raise Your Game is a fantastic read & listen! Divided into 3 parts to make it a great resource for players, coach and teams to connect on. This is a practical read with questions to ask yourself how to be better! I am working through the Team Member workbook at the moment, to provide myself a review and some processes to improve on when I return to face to face coaching.

Alan has worked with some of the greatest NBA players in recent times. KD, Steph, Kobe. His energy for coaching and life is clear to see. Meditation and a holistic approach to life is a big part of Alan’s philosophy. He recently posted, 1000+ consecutive days of guided meditation!

This is a must see for all business owners and coaches.

The playmakers advantage.jpg

Dr Leonard Zaichkowsky & Daniel Peterson

The Playmakers Advantage, what a title. As a sports coach, there was no way of going past that title!

But what is a playmaker? What makes a playmaker.

Mental skills for performance are gaining momentum in sports. In my own coaching I have relished the opportunity to witness experts from the psychology world influence teams. I’ve also read loads of books written by players, coaches, scientists and educators - to get more understanding of what happens to players in the big moments. To learn concepts to share with athletes.

Part of the reason we love sport is the influence and performance of a ‘Playmaker”. What makes them great? How can you identify, measure and grow the skills of an athlete?

What is a Playmaker? Where is sports coaching going?

Mike Sullivan (Ice Hockey Coach) wrote in the foreword “the next frontier is how to get players to better understand anticipation skills, recognition skills and decision making. How to deal with high-stakes environments. How to handle pressure”.

This is a book written for Coaches and Players. Science meets action.

Sidney Crosby and Brad Stevens are just 2 of the big guns that give their insights into performance!

Dr Zaichkowsky and Daniel are both excited to be presenting to us.

Coaching Children In Sport.jpg

Paul Kilgannon

Coaching children and youth is a passion among the RealMVMT community. The community is growing daily, bringing with it more parents. More kids watching their parents live with RealMVMT way.

Paul Kilgannon is a Teacher, Coach, Sports Coach Educator and Author of Coaching Children in Sport - The CARVER Framework.

He has particular interest in Child and Youth Sports Coaching and Athletic Development and has spent his adult life coaching across all age groups.

Paul believes strongly in a positive, holistic approach to coaching children in sport, developing both “the youth” and “the player”.

He believes lessons learned by children in sport can and must positively contribute to all areas of their lives and, crucially, that the volunteer coach has a key role to play in this.

Let’s learn and make the next generation lead our world!
